Why we're called Privy.
For a long time, the sharpest financial thinking sat with a small circle. The people inside it decided earlier and with more conviction, because they could see what others only worked out later. We built Privy to open that circle up, and to put that calibre of thinking within reach of the organisations and leaders who need it most.
The idea
Access to better decisions.
We bring the quality of financial thinking that the largest companies take for granted to the businesses, boards and owners who rarely get access to it. That might be a fast-growing scale-up finding its feet, an established company entering a new chapter, or a board weighing a decision that really matters. The common thread is the stakes, not the size.
In practice that means doing the analysis properly, telling you plainly what it shows, and staying close enough to help you act on it. No theatre, and no thousand-page decks. Just sharp, senior advice from people who have sat in the chair and made the call themselves.

Louis is a chartered accountant and chief financial officer who has spent his career at the top table. He has held CFO and board roles across media, technology and financial-services businesses in the Netherlands, the United States and South Africa, and has served on the boards of more than twenty companies.
He has raised over €30 million across equity, convertible and structured instruments, and secured impact-linked debt tied to measurable social outcomes. He has steered a business through a complex multi-class debt restructuring that cut liabilities by more than €20 million, and scaled revenue almost sixfold while taking close to a third out of the cost base.
His experience runs the full width of the finance function, from the governance and board reporting that investors trust, to the controls and automation a scaling company needs, to the frameworks that sit behind a regulated financial institution. He trained at Deloitte in Johannesburg and Calgary, and is today CFO and a board member of WaterBear Network in Amsterdam. He started Privy to bring that same senior judgement to founders and owners, without the scale or distance of a larger firm.
